My lovely trainees,
Today, we come to the end of our TESOL course. Before you all step into the world as teachers, I wanted to share a few thoughts with you. Each of you has added something special to this journey, and it’s been wonderful to have you all here.
From the very beginning, I saw in each of you that spark of excitement mixed with the nerves of starting something new. It’s been a joy to watch you grow, overcome challenges, and truly become more confident with every step.
Titus, Kalvin, and Ushi – you each come from different places, but together, you’ve created such a strong bond. Titus, your creativity always brought a spark to our sessions. Kalvin, your willingness to help others has been a constant support for everyone. And Ushi, your warmth and gentle voice added a sense of comfort and connection. You’ve become like family here.
1. 𝐺𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑑𝑎𝑦 𝑏𝑦 𝑑𝑎𝑦: I watched you go from hesitant beginnings to confident, energetic teachers ready to stand in front of a class. The effort you put into improving and helping each other shows how far you’ve come.
2. 𝑂𝑝𝑒𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑟𝑒: You didn’t just come to learn; you were open to feedback and always showed a sincere willingness to improve. This openness and positive attitude will be a solid foundation in your future teaching.
3. 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑐: I’ll always remember those moments when you’d bring out the guitar, or we’d sing together to relax after class. Music brought calmness, and it brought us together, creating memories I’ll always hold close.
4. 𝐴 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡𝑒𝑎𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔: You’re not just skilled trainees; you genuinely care about what you do. Through this course, I’ve seen that teaching for you isn’t just about sharing knowledge but also about connecting with others. With so much heart, you’ll make a difference in your students' lives.
The road ahead may have some challenges, but with the passion and kindness I’ve seen in you, I’m sure you’ll become inspiring teachers.
